Poteau Youth Wrestling Club qualifies 12 for this weekend's state tournament

TAHLEQUAH — The Poteau Youth Wrestling Club qualified 12 members for this weekend's state tournament at Oklahoma City's State Fair Arena.
At last weekend's regional tournament, 12 of the 20 members placed to punch their tickets to state.
In Divisions I and III action in last weekend's regional tournament, Dauntay Warren was runner-up, Mason Barcheers was fourth and Grant Ford and Kadin Repass were sixth. Other wrestlers who participated in these divisions but did not qualify were Remington Reed and Ethan Carey.
In Divisions II and IV, Caden Warren and Ross Johnson were third, Luke Brooks and Race Williams were fourth and Zane Hendrix and Jarrod Vineyard were fifth. Jarrett Lilley and Seth Ford also participated in these divisions, and did not qualify — Lilley had to injury default out of the regional due to suffering a neck injury.
In Division V, Sam Shore was third, while Roderick Hornbuckle was sixth. Bryson Terry, Landon Daily, Rae Hendrix and Connor Williams also wrestled in this division, but did not qualify for state.
