Primitive arms season in full swing

I hope everyone enjoyed all the youth pictures last week, and my column on Thursday will have more. More will be in Saturday's edition. There is nothing I like more than seeing the smile of a young boy or girl who has taken a deer. Anyone who has pictures of kids with deer send them to me, and I will get them in as soon as I can.

Primitive arms season is in full swing, and I got to hunt and camp with my family last weekend. Our camp may not kill the most deer, but I believe we eat better than any camp in the state. My dad does the cooking, and everyone looks forward to hunting season just to eat his cooking.
I have had a tough primitive arms season so far, only seeing one deer up to this point. I do this every year. After sitting in a bow stand for three weeks, I have to go see some country early in primitive arms season. The dry leaves this season has been the downfall of me up to this point. I have got that out of my system. Hopefully, will get a deer in the freezer this weekend.
