Professional women's workshop Aug. 2

July 19, 2013

After attending “The Polished Professional: Secrets to Passion, Purpose and Style,” the professional woman will have more confidence to step into the boardroom, retail store, classroom or office to tackle each job with more enthusiasm.
This workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 2 at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center.
Registration is $25 per person and includes lunch. To register, visit www.reiwbc.org.
Discover how passion for your field ignites inspiration and helps lead you down the road to success. Attendees will also learn about the insider secrets of fashion, how to strengthen skills as a consumer, self-defense tactics, the language of clothing and how knowing your fashion language can change your professional image. Attendees will learn to let go and determine where their true priorities are.
“We are very excited about learning from these accomplished women,” said Tara Hull, REI Women’s Business Center coordinator. “There will be ample time for attendees to visit with the presenters and market their businesses through networking activities, so be sure to bring your business cards.”
Workshop presenters are Connie Visitacion, Believe IT! Achieve IT!; Kay Byrd, Personal Development Coach; Leah McLaughlin, Carl Albert State College; and representatives from the Poteau Police Department.
Event partners are the Poteau Chamber of Commerce, Poteau Main Street, OSU Cooperative Extension, Kiamichi Technology Center, LeFlore County Historical Society and REI Women’s Business Center, funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration.
