Protectors seek new home

August 2, 2012

The Protectors Motorcycle Association is looking for a new home.
According to a press release from the organization, the bikers are currently seeking a new location at which to hold its monthly meetings.
Protectors Secretary Carolyn Currens says that the group's current facility, a rented property located on South McKenna Street in Poteau, lacks water and bathroom facilities. Currens added that the Protectors have been in their current location for about one year.
According to the press release, the Protectors are looking for a more affordable location in order to free up money to be used in the group's charitable activities.
Currens says that the group meets two or three times a month and that approximately 30 members are present at each meeting.
The Protectors Motorcycle Association is a non-profit group that seeks to help those in need through financial or other assistance and raises money through motorcycle-related events.
