Raymond “Pop” Albertson Jr., 68, of Pocola died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sr. and Cora Albertson. He was a mechanic.
Raymond was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. Raymond enjoyed racing at Tri-State Speedway and he especially enjoyed watching his sons race. Raymond was a man who cared deeply for family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa of the home; sons, Bobby Albertson and family of Murry Spur, Raymond Albertson III and family of Pocola; daughters, Mary Bradley of Hugo, Teresa Griffin and Missy Malone of Paris, Texas; brothers, Bill Albertson of Texas and David Albertson and family of Pocola; sisters, Mary Boykin of Soper, Helen Davenport, Betty Risley and Gayle Kannady of Pocola, Beverly Wagner of Charleston, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nephews and nieces; other relatives and loved ones.
Raymond was a bright light that will burn in our hearts forever. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
