Reynolds Center holds official dedication Thursday

November 17, 2011

Thursday at 10 a.m. the Donald W. Reynolds Community Center in Poteau will have it's official dedication.

After more the five years in the making the dream of bringing a state-of-the-art events center to Poteau will finally become a reality on Thursday. At least officially anyway.
Construction on the $8.1 million multi-purpose facility was completed in August and the center has already hosted numerous events as officials with the city of Poteau put the finishing touches on the building.
The public is invited to attend the event which will include tours of the building and all the aminities inside.
Jeff Shockley, Poteau Mayor, is expected to thank all those who made it possible to bring the facility to Poteau including the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation.
The foundation issued the original grant to the city that started the ball rolling on the project more than five years ago.
PDN will have continuing coverage and photos from the event tomorrow.
