Ricochet hits town Friday

Ricochet rebounds into Poteau Friday, closing out the summer concert series at the Donald W. Reynolds Center amphitheater with their polished brand of high-energy country music.
The Tulsa-based Wanda Watson Band will open the show at 7 p.m., returning to Poteau with a mix of blues, R and B and soul. Ricochet is scheduled to take the stage at 8:30 p.m., according to Reynolds Center Director Candace Martin.
Tickets will be $15 at the gate, $10 for students with a photo I.D., and free for children under 8.
Ricochet founding members Greg Cook and Heath Wright both hail from Vian, helping make the band a popular draw in this region even before their hit 1995 debut album.
Wright handles lead vocals and guitar while Cook plays bass and adds vocals. Troy Nelson and Dwayne Dupuy also sing and handle drums and keyboards, respectively.
Poteau is one of more than 100 concerts the hard-working band is expected to perform this year.
