Riverdawgs lose to Okmulgee in 10 innings Wednesday night

MORRIS — The Eastern Oklahoma Riverdawgs Major American Legion baseball team suffered a heartbreaking 6-5 loss in 10 innings to Okmulgee Wednesday night.After Spiro's Slater Dunn hit an RBI fielder's choice to score Cameron's Dale Pearson in the eighth inning to tie the game at 5-5, the host team broke the tie in the 10th inning on an error.The Riverdawgs will play at 1 p.m. Saturday against the Oklahoma City Bulls in a doubleheader at Oklahoma City's Dolese Park. Then, they will be back home at 6 p.m. Thursday in a single, nine-inning game against Okmulgee. At this time, the game will be at Cameron, but it could be moved to Pocola.
