Riverdawgs' Thursday home game canceled, will try to be rescheduled; locals' next games will be a Sunday afternoon home DH against Bartlesville

June 22, 2012

Thursday night's home game for the Eastern Oklahoma Riverdawgs Major American Legion baseball team against Okmulgee at Poteau High School's Town Creek Park was canceled due to Okmulgee lacking enough players for the game — as well as the possibility of Thursday night rain.
Coach Dave Oliver said the Okmulgee game will try to be rescheduled for July 10, but no date has been set as of this time.
The Riverdawgs will return to action at 2 p.m. Sunday at Town Creek Park in a doubleheader against Bartlesville. That twinbill was originally scheduled for June 10 at Pocola, but Bartlesville was a no show that afternoon.
