Robert “Stan” Werline

Robert “Stan” Werline, 57, of Poteau died October 6, 2012, after a yearlong battle with cancer.
Stan was born Aug. 23, 1955, in Texas. He lived over 45 years in southern California and was a licensed contractor holding licenses in four trade specialties He lived by the mantra of “Stand Strong” and maintained an abiding faith and trust in God.
He is survived by his wife, Pegee; daughter, Lindsay Murray and son-in-law Mike Murray; two grandsons, Nathan and Waylon, of Poteau; brothers, Larry Werline of Texas, John Dowell of California; sisters, Cheryl Chreene of Texas, Astarte Baker of California; and mother, Janice Fellows of California. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Werline, and infant brother, Richard.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, in the Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church, 109 S. Harper, Poteau. Memorials can be made in his name to the Celebration Choir of F.U.M.C., Poteau.
