Colleen Huddleston, 90, of Heavener died March 12, 2013, in Heavener. She was born February 24, 1923, in Heavener to J.D. and Jessie Lee (Spoon) Langston. She was a retired case worker supervisor for the Oklahoma State Welfare Department in LeFlore County, where she worked for 35 years. Colleen loved music; she played the piano over 50 years at various churches in the area and played for 25 years at Perry Chapel Church. She was a devoted Christian, loved her family and friends and also loved cats and dogs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Earl H. Huddleston; and a sister, Winifred Langston.
Colleen is survived by a sister, Billy May Dykes and husband Sammy of Hackett, Ark.; a nephew, Clifford Dykes and wife Kathy of South Carolina; and a host other family members, friends and loved ones.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Heavener Memorial Park Cemetery with Bro. Sam Dryer officiating. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. You may leave an online greeting to the family at www.gracemanorfh.com.
