Ruth Ann Duncan, 54, of Cameron died Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, in Oklahoma City.
Ruth was born Sept. 13, 1957, in Cameron to Floyd and Alma (Bonner) Boyd. She was an administrative assistant for St. Edward Home Health for 18 years. Ruth was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Poteau. She was a loving mother, wife and grandmother, known to her grandchildren as “Tata” and “Momma Ruth” to her children and grandchildren by love. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Charles Boyd, Roger Marrow and Jimmie Bascue; sisters, Jonell LaPointe, Cheryl Blair; and son, Deputy Dustin S. Duncan
Survivors include her husband, Randy Duncan; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Chad Barton; daughter “by love” Tarron Barnes and husband BJ; grandchildren, Maggie, Joe, Travis Barton; father-in-law and wife, Harold and Jan Duncan; mother-in-law and husband, Billie and Robert Williams; sisters, Peggy Ott of Baroda, Mich., and Jane Stevenson of Niles, Mich.; brothers, Harvey Marrow of El Dorado Hills, Calif., Harley Marrow of Buchanan, Mich.,  Leonard and Gloria Marrow of Niles; aunt, Anna Bowden, Gladewater, Texas; other relatives and loved ones.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at Trinity Baptist Church, Poteau, with Rev. Leroy Billy officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron. Pallbearers will be Rob Seale, Ray Finchum, Hank Remy, Larry Hancock, Jason Tucker and Dewade Shatswell.   Honorary pallbearers will be Jared Dewitt, Mike Greer, Chad Tolbert and Russ Johnson.
The family will visit with relatives and friends at the funeral home Friday from 6-8 p.m.
The family would appreciate contributions to the Deputy Dustin Duncan Scholarship Fund at Community State Bank, Poteau.
