Sam Hutchison

Sam Hutchison, 88, of Poteau died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, in Talihina. Wilmer Samuel Hutchison was born Jan. 8, 1925, in Cameron to Wilmer and Abby (Carpenter) Hutchison. Sam was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a mechanic. Sam was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Leona Hutchison; his parents; brothers, William “Landis,” Bobby and Vernon Hutchison; and sister, Laura Gaither.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Wilma Jean and Roger Washington of Tahlequah; son and daughter-in-law, Dan “Hutch” and Sally Hutchison of Poteau; grandsons, Nick Hutchison, John Adam Hutchison and Chris Washington; granddaughter, ShyAnne Hutchison; nieces, Vida Jean and Margaret and their families; and other relatives and loved ones.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 6, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in Greenhill Cemetery, Cameron. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Fox, Bill Maggard, Brad Maggard, James Wooten and David Gullick.
The family will visit with relatives and friends at Evans and Miller Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
