Senior running back anxious to see Poteau football team bounce back with upset of Tulsa Cascia Hall

The Poteau Pirates football team put a lot into last week's homecoming game with the Fort Gibson Tigers. After going toe to toe with them, the Pirates ended up falling 49-21. Poteau senior running back Michael Reynolds said it was a somber mood in the locker room after the game.
“It was sad,” Reynolds said. “We know we can't let it get the better of us. We have to get ready to go this week.”
What a week of preparations it's been for the Pirates. They will get the honor or facing the top-ranked team in Class 4A, the Tulsa Cascia Hall Commandos at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Tulsa. Reynolds said the Pirates are looking forward to the challenge.
“We have to take it to heart for what it is,” he said. “It's a great chance for us. Not everybody gets a chance to play the No. 1 team. If we play our game, and execute, I think we'll have a chance. Any team is beatable by anybody. I think we can get the job done.”
