Series of grassfires considered act of arson

Fire grass fires within two hours on Monday afternoon are being considered the act of an arsonist.

Monday afternoon fire departments in LeFlore and Haskell County were kept busy after five different grass fires were started along Milton and County Line Road between Bokoshe and McCurtain.
According to Emergency Management Director Michael Davidson, the fires began approximately 3 p.m. and the last reported at 4:40 p.m. Two vehicles, a white Chevy pickup and a white Ford Explorer were seen by witnesses in the area at the time of the fires.
