There were many Poteau Youth Wrestling Club members who placed in their final 2012 tournaments of the year.
At the Glenpool Novice Tournament, several members participated, with five of them placing.
Parker Killion and Ethan Carey took first place in their respective weight divisions. Dakota James and Jaxon Jordan were third, and Blake Deadmon placed fourth. Others participating but not placing were Talan Fairless, Remington Reed, Hayden Moro, Drew Moro and David Stoughton.
Club member Luke Brooks went to the Battle of the Eve Tournament in Anderson, Mo., and picked up a gold medal for his first-place finish.
Ten members will participate in the USJOC & USJNC Tournaments in Oklahoma City. There will be close to 2,000 wrestlers competing, representing between 25 to 30 states — which by far will make this the biggest tournament the locals will have participated in this season.
