Shirley Beam

Shirley Beam, 71, of Bokoshe died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, in Bokoshe. Shirley was born Jan. 10, 1942, in Silverton, Ore., to Gerald and Helen (Hale) Wright. She was retired from Oklahomer Smith Furniture. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles David Beam, and granddaughter, Telisha Beam.
Survivors include her daughters, Connie Hilton and husband, Lee of Bokoshe, Tammy Beam and fiancé David Needham of the home, Wendy Darneal and husband Ron of Bokoshe; sons, Daniel Beam and wife, Tonia, David Beam and wife, Marcela, all of Bokoshe, Gary Beam and wife Sarah of Cushing; 22 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rodger Wright and wife Patty of Stanfield, Ore., Larry Wright of Woodburn; sister, Faye Nistler and husband Joe of Woodburn; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones. 
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Steve Adams officiating. Burial will be in Beam Family Cemetery, Bokoshe. Pallbearers will be Bobby Emerson, James Moss, Keith Beam, Mike Beam, Landon Beam and Jeff Lovell. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons, Mickey Haslapp and Johnny Bowman.
The family will be at Evans and Miller Funeral Home in Poteau from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday to visit with relatives and friends. You may leave an online message at evansandmillerfuneralhomes.com.
