Spiro boys top seed in 2014 LeFlore County Baseball Tournament

March 25, 2014

HEAVENER — The Spiro Bulldogs, who were runners-up in last year's LeFlore County Baseball Tournament, were awarded the top seed of this season's event, which will begin Monday at four different sites.
At Tuesday afternoon's seeding meeting at Heavener High School, this year's host school, the Bulldogs got the top seed, followed by Poteau — last year's champion — and Pocola. All three will receive opening-round byes.
The final 10 seeds will end up playing in opening-round games on Monday. The fourth-seeded team was host Heavener, followed by Panama, Wister, Cameron, Leflore and Talihina — which is back in the field for the first time in several years. Howe got the 11th seed, followed by Arkoma and Bokoshe.
