Spiro gets to open 2012 football season against Class 2A's top-ranked Vian

August 30, 2012

The good news is the Spiro Bulldogs are ready to get the 2012 season going.
“They're anxious and getting fired up, more so than in the last few weeks,” said Chris Bunch, Spiro's coach.
However, the ’Dogs will have a tough opener as they will travel to meet Class 2A's top-ranked Vian Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
“They're rated No. 1 in their class and are picked to win state in their class,” Bunch said. “We're the underdogs, and our kids are going to have to step up to the challenge.”
