September 29, 2012

WESTVILLE — It was basically deja vu all over again for the Spiro Lady Bulldogs softball team at the Class 3A Regional Tournamen. For the second straight year, they got to the title game, but for the second straight season the Lady Bulldogs came in second to Sequoyah-Tahlequah.
The Lady Bulldogs, who reached Friday afternoon's title game by outlasting host Westville 12-8, lost to the Lady Indians 6-0 in the title game to see their season end.
The Lady Bulldogs split their first two games Thursday in the regional, edging Stigler 2-1 in eight innings after losing 4-1 to host Westville. They ended their season at 16-11.
