Spiro man arrested after allegedly assaulting officers

A Spiro man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly bit and kicked officers.
Bryant Cooper, 22, of Spiro, was arrested on two counts of assault and batter on a police office, destruction of city property, disorderly conduct, driving under suspension and no insurance stemming following his arrest by Spiro Police Officer Theo Capes.
Cooper allegedly kicked at Capes after being placed in a patrol car and when officers tried to restrain his feet, he reportedly bit Spiro Officer Michael Draper.
Cooper was transported to the LeFlore County Detention Center and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
