Spiro teams sweep titles at Bedouin Shrine Classic

MUSKOGEE — Some hardware from Muskogee County came home to LeFlore County on Saturday night.
The Spiro High School basketball teams swept the title games Saturday night at the Muskogee Bedouin Shrine Classic, each beating undefeated Oktaha in the finals.
The Bulldogs got past the Tigers 61-58 in Saturday night's title game, after knocking off the Haskell Haymakers 72-51 in Friday night's semifinal.
The Lady Bulldogs had to go an extra four minutes before handing the Lady Tigers their first loss as they defeated Oktaha 62-60 in overtime. They defeated Sequoyah-Tahlequah 50-44 in Friday night's semifinals.
