Spiro travels to meet Muldrow tonight in battle of Bulldogs

September 13, 2013

There will be one thing for sure when Spiro's football team travels to meet Muldrow in a 7:30 p.m. contest tonight. The Bulldogs will get their first win of the season. The only question which won't be answered until about late news time tonight is which Bulldogs.
Spiro (0-1) is coming off a 32-14 loss to the Vian Wolverines in a game which was close for about a half.
“Overall, I was pleased, but our conditioning killed us,” Spiro coach Chris Bunch said. “We gave up big plays. Big plays hurt us. Overall, our defense played well except for the big plays, but our conditioning is hurting us right now. Maybe we'll play better with a little cooler weather on Friday.”
Muldrow (0-1) also lost its season opener 22-0 to fellow Sequoyah County rival Roland.
