Spiro welcomes Roland Rangers for key 3A-8 game

October 31, 2013

The Spiro Bulldogs football team continues to roll along, now on a seven-game winning streak since losing the season opener to Vian.
The Bulldogs (7-1 overall, 5-0 in District 3A-8) will look to make the winning streak reach eight games as they entertain the Roland Rangers (5-3, 2-3) at 7:30 p.m. Friday night at McClain Stadium.
Spiro is the only team undefeated in district play, and will be the district champion if the ’Dogs win out — beating Roland tonight and win at Checotah next week. Checotah and Stigler are the two teams that have one district loss and are tied for second place. As long as Spiro wins out, Spiro will be the outright district champion.
