Sports Briefs — With Update About 'Mud Duck' Camp

Registration is open for the 2013 LeFlore County Express Fall Soccer League.
Registration can be done through the internet at www.leflorecountysoccer.com.
Late registration cost per child is $40.

The 2013 Poteau Coed Church Softball League registration has begun.
Any church that is interested in playing at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex this summer needs to contact Billy Bond at (918) 647-1939.
The entry fee is $400 per team. Deadline to entry is June 26.
League will begin play on July 8 or 9.

The Mark Sullivan “Mud Duck” Junior Golf Camp will be Wednesday through Friday at Choctaw Country Club. The came was to have started Tuesday, but was moved back to Wednesday due to wet grounds.
The entry fee is $20.

The accompanying Mark Sullivan “Mud Duck” Junior Golf Tournament will be June 25 at Choctaw Country Club. The tournament was to have been June 24, but that is the day of the Poteau Chamber of Commerce Tournament.

The 16th annual Poteau Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will take place June 24 at Choctaw Country Club.
There will be two rounds totaling 18 holes of golf, one beginning at 8 a.m. and one at 1 p.m.
Check-in will begin one hour before each round will begin.
There is a 60-team limit for the two-player event. Entry fee is $50 per person or $100 per team.
The cut off date for registering will be 5 p.m. Wednesday.
There will be a hole-in-one prize awarded.
Breakfast and lunch will be served prior to each round.

The Red Oak Softball Camps will take place June 27-28.
The camp for those entering kindergarten through third grade will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. daily, while the camp for those entering grades four through seven will be 12:30 to 3 p.m. daily.
Cost is $35 per camper.
Besides Red Oak coaches Casey Butcher and Trey Booth running the camp, former Lady Eagle and Oklahoma Sooner softball player Javen Henson will be present.
Henson and the Sooners just won the national title last week over Tennessee at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.

The second annual Brittney Cox Memorial Golf Tournament 2-Man Scramble will take place at noon June 29 at Choctaw Country Club.
Lunch will be served at 11 a.m.
The entry fee is $135 per team, but for teams that have golf carts their fee will be $120.
Mulligans will be available at $10 for two, with a limit of two per golfer.
All proceeds will benefit Poteau High School.

The Choctaw Country Club will have its annual Church Golf League action starting July 1.
League action will take place for eight weeks, and there is a limit of 18 teams.
