Carl Albert State College Assistant Softball Coach Megan Young will give softball lessons at $25 per hour to girls up through age 18.

Friday Couple Scrambles will take place at 5:30 p.m. every Friday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.

The Poteau Fall Softball League will be Sept. 17-Oct. 25. The league will have three divisions, ages 12-, 10- and 8-and-younger. There will be six teams in the age 12-and-younger league, while the other two leagues will have 12 teams.
The entry fee is $300 per team for the age 12-and-younger league, while the entry fee is $250 per team in the other two leagues.
The age 12-and-younger league will play games beginning at 6 p.m. Mondays, 10-and-younger league games will begin at 6 p.m. Tuesdays and games for the age 8-and-younger league is 6 p.m. Thursdays.

A couples scramble will take place Sept. 8 at Wolf Ridge Golf Course, and will begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
The entry fee for the two-person scramble is $120 per couple.

The 30th annual Carl Albert State College Coaches Golf Classic will take place at 10 a.m. Sept. 10 at Wolf Ridge Golf Course. Registration will begin at 9 a.m.
Entry fee is $50 per golfer, which includes green fees and golf carts. Each golfer will receive a mulligan.

Tryouts for the 2013 Season for a 12-year-old Major USSSA baseball team will take place on four dates at the Spiro Little League Fields.
The tryout dates will be 3 p.m. Sunday as well as Sept. 16, Sept. 23 and Sept. 30.
Participants cannot turn age 13 before May 1.

The 2012 Cowboys Regional Rodeo Finals will be Oct. 18-20 at Kay Rogers Park in Fort Smith, Ark.
The top 15 cowboys and cowgirls from several states will compete for the title of "2012 Champion."
The admission is $5 on Oct. 18, and $10 for adults and $5 for children on Oct. 19-20.
