Friday Couple Scrambles at Wolf Ridge Golf Course have been moved to 2 p.m. Sundays.

Tryouts for the 2013 season for a 12-year-old Major USSSA baseball team will take place on four dates at the Spiro Little League Fields.
The tryout dates will be 3 p.m. Sunday.
Participants cannot turn age 13 before May 1.

There will be a punt, pass and kick competition, sponsored by the Poteau Pirate Quarterback Club and Shockley's Auto Sales, beginning at 6:45 p.m. Oct. 18 at Costner Stadium, just before the Muldrow-Poteau game.
Participants will punt from the back of the end zone, pass from where the punt is marked and kick from the spot where the pass is marked for a field goal. If a field goal is made, the winner will earn $10,000.
Tickets for the contest cost $5 and may be purchased at Shockley's Auto Sales, Doug Sanders Law Office or from any Quarterback Club member.
All participants must be at least age 18, and have amateur status. Particpants cannot have played college, semi-professional or professional football.

The 2012 Cowboys Regional Rodeo Finals will be Oct. 18-20 at Kay Rogers Park in Fort Smith, Ark.
The top 15 cowboys and cowgirls from several states will compete for the title of "2012 Champion."
The admission is $5 on Oct. 18, and $10 for adults and $5 for children on Oct. 19-20.
