The Poteau Chip-In Club will have a golf benefit beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday at Choctaw Country Club.
The event was originally scheduled March 23, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
The entry fee for the three-person scramble is $30 per player.
All proceeds will go to the Poteau High School golf programs to help with travel expenses, indoor training facility and golf outerwear.

The Poteau Kiwanis Club Little Olympics will begin at 6 p.m. April 11 at Costner Stadium.

“A Bike for Daylon” will happen May 18. Daylon is a 13-year-old with cerebral palsy who wants a bike to ride with his family.
Funds are being raised to help his parents purchase an adaptive bike for him.

The second annual Brittney Cox Memorial Golf Tournament 2-Man Scramble will take place at 8 a.m. and approximately 1 p.m. April 27 at Choctaw Country Club.
The entry fee is $135 per team, but for teams that have golf carts their fee will be $120.
Mulligans will be available at $10 for two, with a limit of two per golfer.
All proceeds will benefit Poteau High School.

Any one interested in coaching a Poteau City League Baseball/Softball team for the 2013 season needs to contact Billy Bond at (918) 647-1939 or by e-mail at parcball@windstream.net.
Coaches are still needed in the following age groups:
For girls, two in the age 8-and-younger division and one in the age 11-14 division. Also, the age 10-and-younger and the age 11-14 divisions need players to register.
For boys, one coach is needed for the age 8-and-younger division and the age 11-13 division, while two coaches are needed for the age 10-and-younger divison.
Players and teams will not be drafted, and teams will not be formed until coaches have been found. If no coaches are found, refunds will be issued.

A 12-and-younger softball tournament will take place May 4 in Keota during the town’s Old-Timer’s Celebration.
The entry fee is $100 with a two-game guarantee. The deadline to enter is 2 p.m. April 22.
