The first meeting of the 2013 season for the Poteau Quarterback Club will at 7 p.m. Monday inside the football fieldhouse at Costner Stadium.
The Quarterback Club would like to invite and encourage anyone that is interested in supporting the Pirates, especially the parents of players in grades 9 through 12, to attend Monday night’s meeting.
Also, anyone may be a part of the organization, whether or not they have a player on the team.

There will be an open T-ball tournament next Saturday at Blues Park in Heavener. The entry fee is $50 per team, with a three-game guarantee.

“A Bike for Daylon” will happen next Saturday. Daylon is a 13-year-old with cerebral palsy who wants a bike to ride with his family. Funds are being raised to help his parents purchase an adaptive bike for him.

Registration is now open for the 2013 LeFlore County Express Fall Soccer League.
Registration can be done through the Internet at www.leflorecountysoccer.com.
Registration will end May 31.
Cost is $35 per child registered until May 31. Beginning June 1, cost per child will increase to $40.

The LeFlore County Soccer Association will have a general meeting and mandatory coaches meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Department of Human Services meeting room in Poteau.
The new soccer facilities, the Fall 2013 season changes and an interaction time for suggestions and concerns to be shared are the key items on the agenda.

The Howe Basketball Camp will take place May 20-22 at the Howe Gym.
Cost is $40 per camper.
The girls camp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon daily, while the boys camp will run from 1 to 4 p.m.

The 2013 Spiro Basketball Summer Camp will take place later this month at the Spiro Multipurpose Gym.
The camp for those campers who will enter grades six through eight in August will take place from 9 a.m. to noon May 21-23. Cost is $30 per camper.
The camp for those entering grades kindergarten through two will be from 9 a.m. to noon May 28-30. Cost is $30 per camper.
The camp for those entering grades three through five will be from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. May 28-30. Cost is $30.
Those who register by Thursday will be guaranteed a camp T-shirt.

The first annual Carl Albert State College/Poteau High School Softball Camp will be from 9 a.m. to noon May 22-23 at the Poteau High School softball field.
Cost is $40 per camper. If a family has more than one child, it will be $35 a child, and a group discount of $35 a child for teams that send at least five or more off a team.
The camp is for girls who will enter grades two through eight in August.
Campers will need to bring gloves, bats, cleated shoes, water, sunscreen and money for concessions as the concession stand will be open.

The Poteau Quarterback Club Youth Football Camp will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. May 22-24 at Costner Stadium.

The “Camp of Champions” basketball camp will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Chris Gillespie Court at Ray Henson Gymnasium on the campus of Talihina High School.
Cost is $40, with a $20 deposit for pre-registering.
