Poteau High School students who will participate in extra-curricular activities this upcoming school year will have their drug testing take place this month inside the senior hall of the high school.
Drug testing will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
Cost is $10 cash per student.

Registration is open for the 2013 LeFlore County Express Fall Soccer League.
Registration can be done through the Internet at www.leflorecountysoccer.com.
Late registration cost per child is $40.

There will be a 7-3 coed softball tournament all day Saturday at Heavener Blues Park.
The entry fee is $125 per team.
Women may hit any ball. There will be no senior bats or no ultra 2 bats.
Each team is limited to five home runs per game, but $10 will get five more and $50 will get teams unlimited home runs.
There will need to be at least six teams, with T-shirts going to first place, and if there are more than six teams the runner-up team will also get T-shirts.
All proceeds will benefit the Heavener High School football team.

There will be age 8-, 10- and 12-and-younger softball leagues at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex this fall.
The entry fee is $250 for 8- and 10-and-younger teams, while the entry fee is $300 for the 12-and-younger teams.
Games will begin the week of Sept. 16 and end the week of Oct. 23.

There will be a fall baseball coach-pitch league in Heavener.
The league will begin its season in September and last for four weeks.
The league is open to only the first eight teams.

Heavener Blues Park will be having a Fall 7-3 Coed Softball League Starting Aug, 27 and running through Oct. 1. There will be two games per night.
Entry fee is $400 per team.
