The 2014 Choctaw Country Club Junior Golf Clinic will take place the next two Tuesdays. The clinic will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday.
The entry fee is $10 per child per week, which includes drinks each week. All ages are welcome.
At the end of the eight-week clinic, there will be a tournament, a cookout and a pool party.

The 2014 Spider Webb Invitational will take place Saturday and Sunday at Wolf Ridge Country Club and Choctaw Country Club.
The entry fee is $400 per team or $200 per person. The tournament is limited to the first 80 teams that enter.

There will be a coed softball tournament beginning at 8 p.m. Friday at the Arkoma High School baseball field and will last all night.
The entry fee is $100 per team. All proceeds will benefit the Arkoma High School football program.

The 2014 fall season of the LeFlore County Soccer League will begin registration Tuesday.

Arkoma High School athletics announces the 2014-15 parents/guardians meeting 7 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 8 at the Arkoma Events Center to officially present all paperwork necessary to participate in sports.
All athletes going in to 7 through 12 grade must be represented at the meeting.

Physicals for all athletes will take place from 9 to 11 a.m. Aug. 8 at the Arkoma Events Center.

Eastern Oklahoma State College will offer an all-skills baseball and softball camp from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. This camp will focus on all basic baseball and softball skills, including throwing, fielding, hitting and base running.
The cost is $60 and includes a camp T-shirt.
Campers can register at the baseball field beginning at 5:30 p.m. prior to each camp’s first day.

The 2014 Amateur Softball Association Coed Slow-Pitch Softball District Tournament will take place next Friday through July 20 at the Poteau Area Recreational Complex.
The entry fee is $175. The deadline to enter is 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The Tyler Caldwell Wrestling Camp will take place from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and next Friday at Perkins-Tryon High School.
The camp cost is $75 per participant. Weigh-in will begin each day at 7:30 a.m.
Caldwell is a four-time All-American, a two-rime NCAA finalist and a member of the United States World Team.

The Johnny Nimmo Winners Never Quit Golf Tournament will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start next Friday at John Conrad Golf Course in Midwest City. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m.
The entry fee is $60 per player, and $15 will get participants two mulligans and a throw as well as entry into a prize drawing.
The deadline to enter is Monday.

The 2014 Poteau Main Street Matters Golf Tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 9 at Choctaw Country Club. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. that morning.
The entry fee is $50 per player. Golf carts are available for $15, but must be reserved in advance. Two mulligans are available for $10.
Hole sponsorships are available for $125.

There will be a soccer referee course and a soccer referee re-certification course administered Aug. 16 at the Patrick Lynch Public Library.
The course for those wishing to become soccer referees for the first time will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with lunch from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $60.
The course for referees wishing to get their re-certification will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. There will be no cost for those currently certified.

There will be a soccer referees meeting at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at The Coffee Cup.
The main item on the agenda will be getting prepared for the fall season, which will take place from Sept. 6 through Nov. 8.
