A benefit T-ball tournament will take place Saturday at Cameron. Entry fee is one new ball per game. Teams will play three games.

The eighth annual Mark "Mud Duck" Sullivan Junior Golf Camp will take place Tuesday through next Thursday at Choctaw Country Club. The camp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday and Wednesday, while the final day of camp will be from 1 to 4 p.m. next Thursday. The camp is open to boys and girls of all ages. Entry fee is $20 per camper.
Instructors will be Poteau golf coaches Mike Thomas and Randall Wheat, along with Andy Perdue and the high school golf teams.

The 2012 Poteau Cross Country Booster Club Running Camp will be from 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday through May 25 at Costner Stadium. Entry fee is $40 per camper, which will include a free T-shirt if pre-registered by Friday. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 5 through 12.

The Howe Basketball Camp will take place Monday through Wednesday at the Howe Gym.
The camp is open to any students who will enter grades four through nine next school year.

The sixth annual Jack Hall-Patrick Lynch Memorial Shrine Golf Tournament will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start on Monday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.
Entry fee for the four-person scramble is $50 per person or $200 per team.
Two mulligans may be purchased for $5, with a maximum of eight per team.
The tournament will be open to the first 36 teams.

The Wolf Ridge Women's Golf Association seventh annual 2-Lady Invitational Scramble will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Tuesday at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.
Entry fee is $65 per golfer and $130 per team, which includes golf carts.

The 2012 Spiro Basketball Summer Camps will take place later this month.
The camp for those who will be entering grades six through eight will be from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through next Thursday at the Spiro Gym.
The camp for those who will be entering grades kindergarten through two will be from 9 a.m. to noon May 29-31.

The Billy Ray Hoffman Invitational will take place June 2-3 at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.
The entry fee for the two-person scramble is $160 per person, which will include golf cart and a practice round on June 1.

The eighth annual "Hooked on Fishin'" Kids Tournament will take place from 7 a.m. until noon June 2 at Long Lake Resort.
Entry fee is $30 per boat.
There will be two age divisions, ages 8 to 11 and ages 12 to 15. Each child must be accompanied by an adult.

The Choctaw Country Club Church League will begin play at 5:30 p.m. June 4 and will take place at the same time every Monday for eight straight weeks.

The second annual Duck Martin 14 Foundation PIT Camp Fundraising 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will take place June 9 at both Wister gyms.
There will be eight teams in eight divisions, third-fourth grade boys, third-fourth grade girls, fifth-sixth grade boys, fifth-sixth grade girls, junior high boys, junior high girls, high school boys and high school girls.

The third annual Village 2 Village Golf Tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. June 23 at Wolf Ridge Golf Course.
Entry fee for the four-man scramble is $280 per team. After June 16, the entry fee will increase to $320.
Entry fee includes green fees, cart and a barbecue lunch.
Mulligans will be available at $5 each with a limit of one per nine holes.
There will be a putting contest, with the entry fee being $5 per putt or $10 for three putts.

The First Serve Tennis Clinics will begin June 4 in Fort Smith, Ark.
The clinics are for children ages 5-16. The cost is $25. There are three weeks of clinics to choose from.

It is believed sports encourages a healthy lifestyle in our youth, which is a rising concern to many.
