The 2012 Spiro Elementary Basketball Summer Camp will take place from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday through Thursday at the Spiro Gym. The camp is open to those who will be entering grades kindergarten through two. The cost $30 per camper. For additional information, call (918) 605-1840.

Any church interested in playing in the 2012 Poteau Coed Church League this summer needs to call Billy Bond at (918) 647-1939. Entry Fee is $400 per team. Deadline for entry is June 28. There will be two divisions if enough teams enter. All teams must pay before their team will be entered into the league. The season will begin on July 9.

There will be a T-ball fundraising tournament next Saturday in Heavener. The entry fee for the event is $50 per team. Players on the first- and second-place teams will receive medals, while all players will receive certificates. Each team is guaranteed two games. The deadline to enter the tournament is Tuesday. The Billy Ray Hoffman Invitational will take place June 2-3 at Wolf Ridge Golf Course. The entry fee for the two-person scramble is $160 per person, which will include golf cart and a practice round on Friday. The deadline to enter is Friday. For additional information, call (918) 647-7274.

The Choctaw Country Club Church League will begin play at 5:30 p.m. June 4 and will take place at the same time every Monday for eight straight weeks. It will be a three-player scramble. The second annual Duck Martin 14 Foundation PIT Camp Fundraising 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will take place June 9 at both Wister gyms.
There will be eight teams in eight divisions, third-fourth grade boys, third-fourth grade girls, fifth-sixth grade boys, fifth-sixth grade girls, junior high boys, junior high girls, high school boys and high school girls.

The sixth annual Mark β€œMud Duck” Sullivan Memorial Junior Golf Tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. June 11 at Choctaw Country Club.
Age divisions for boys and girls will be 8 and younger, 9-11 and 12-14.
Registration will be from 8 to 9 a.m. June 11.
All age groups will play nine holes from age specific tees.

The Talihina "Gym Rat Basketball Camp" will take place June 19-21 on Chris Gillespie Court at Ray Henson Gymnasium.
The camp is open to boys who will enter grades two through eight next school year. The entry fee is $40, which will include a free lunch daily in the Talihina High School cafeteria.

The third annual Village 2 Village Golf Tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. June 23 at Wolf Ridge Golf Course. Entry fee for the four-man scramble is $280 per team. After June 16, the entry fee will increase to $320.
Entry fee includes green fees, cart and a barbecue lunch. Mulligans will be available at $5 each with a limit of one per nine holes. There will be a putting contest, with the entry fee being $5 per putt or $10 for three putts. The first hole-in-one winner will win a car. The First Serve Tennis Clinics will begin June 4 in Fort Smith, Ark.

The Sam Bradford Football ProCamp presented by Chesapeake Energy and in partnership with The Oklahoman will be July 10-11 at the University of Oklahoma Intramural Fields.
Bradford will be on site the entire camp to direct camp activities and provide instruction. He will be joined by a selection of the top prep and college coaches from the Norman area.
The camp is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 14 and focuses on the team concept and fundamentals of football.
Groups will be small to ensure that each camper gets personalized instruction.
Bradford, a former OU quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner and current St. Louis Rams quarterback, will also give daily talks highlighting the finer points of the game of football and beyond.
Each camper receives an autographed camp team photo with Bradford, camp T-shirt, goodie bag and the opportunity to win additional prizes.
Spots are limited, so campers are encouraged to register early.
Cost of the ProCamp is $199.

It is believed sports encourages a healthy lifestyle in our youth, which is a rising concern to many.

The Satchel Paige All-Stars Travel Baseball Team is looking for youth baseball players ages 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 years old that would like to be a part of our 2012 Summer Travel Baseball Team that will include trips to Cincinnati, Omaha, Neb., Springfield, Mo., Orlando, Fla., and Puerto Rico.

The Holiday Island (Ark.) Rotary Club Dettwiller/Lehr Golf Tournament will take place Aug. 25-26 at Holiday Island County Club.
