Strong opposing pitching subdues Arkoma girls in Robbers Cave Shootout

August 20, 2011

WILBURTON — The Arkoma Lady Mustangs were the victims of strong opposing pitching in their final two games of pool play on Friday at the 2011 Robbers Cave Shootout.
Arkoma suffered a 6-0 loss to the Porum Lady Panthers, then lost 12-0 to the Crowder Demonettes.
The Lady Mustangs (2-7) were still waiting at 5:30 p.m. Friday as to who and when they would play today in the final day of action. Arkoma and Wilson tied in their pool, and tournament officials were having to go to earned runs given up as a tie-breaker. If the tie was not broken by that method, another method would be used.
