I can't believe that school has started already! Where did summer go? I know a lot of you folks have kids going off to college, too. It must be tough for those parents to see them go, unless they're going to Carl Albert State College. They call it “The Empty Nest Syndrome.” I think it's harder on mothers than fathers. But hang in there parents, it will be all right because you have total control over the remote control to your TV and you can watch football all the time.
Poteau Bandit Football
Here is the schedule for the third-fourth grade and fifth-sixth grade Poteau Bandit League team:
Sept. 3 — at Sallisaw
Sept. 10 — Vian
Sept. 17 — Union Christian, Ark.
Sept. 24 — at Westville
Oct. 1 — Muldrow
Oct. 8 — Spiro

The Bandits will play every Saturday in September and October. The third-fourth grade game will begin at 5 p.m., followed by the fifth-sixth grade contest. Each game lasts one hour.
Everybody has started practicing, and it's a lot of the kids' first year to play football! It's so exciting!
