Super Bowl XLVI Weekend is finally here — as is the annual He-Man Punt, Pass and Kick Competitions

The Community State Bank donates the funds Thursday morning to pay the winners of The 2012 Junior He-Man Punt, Pass and Kick Competition. TCSB representative B.J. This is my busiest weekend of the year — Super Bowl Weekend!
The 2012 sixth annual Junior He-Man Punt, Pass and Kick Competition will take place beginning at high noon Saturday at the “Jody Ray Sports Complex,” located at 306 Strip Pit Road. There are two divisions, the L'il He-Man Division for ages 6 to 8 and Junior He-Man Division for ages 9 to 12.
Last year's winners in the Li'l He-Man Division were Colton “Colt 45” Williamson in first, followed by runner-up Jacques Adams and third-place finisher Bryson Carshall. The Most Improved Athlete Award also went to Bryson, while the “Got-A-Man Down” Award went to Zane “Zaner” Harrison.
Madison “Wonder Woman” Williamson took top honors in the Junior He-Man Division, followed by Kenzie Williamson in second and Jonathan Marquez in third. Kenzie Williamson won the Most Improved Athlete Award, while Kaden McBeth won the “Got-A-Man Down” Award.
The 19th annual He-Man Punt, Pass and Kick Competition will take place at high noon Sunday. The entry fee is $5 per contestant.
Last year, yours truly, Jody Adams (a.k.a., “Poteau's New Greatest Athlete”), took home the top prize with 44 points, edging out Justin “Bad” Brown (43 points). Steve “Cathead” Evans was third with 35 points. The Most Improved Athlete Award went to Joseph “Bubba” Bunch, while Jeff “Soc” Sockey was awarded with the “Got-A-Man Down” Award.
The sponsors for these events for this year are The Community State Bank, Green Country Trophy and Screen Printing, Warehouse Willy's, LaHuerta's Mexican Restaurant and Spider Webb's Farm Implements.
I'll be looking to defend my title this year, but in the previous 19 years, there's never been a repeat champion. I could be the first one to do so. Luckily, I've been training hard to give myself a really good chance to claim total victory Sunday afternoon! It's a lot of fun.
