Suspected drug trafficker arrested

February 28, 2013

More than half a year of investigation into drug trafficking has resulted in the arrest of Octavio Gutierrez, 25, of Poteau.
Gutierrez has been charged with multiple drug charges after agents with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs, District 16 Drug Task Force and Poteau Police Department served a warrant for his arrest at 112 Teakwood.
Agents report that on multiple occasions, Gutierrez facilitated the sale of large quantities of methamphetamines to undercover agents.
If convicted, Gutierrez could face life in prison.
