Suspects sought in Heavener armed robbery

A local business is recovering after armed assailantsassaulted the clerk and robbed them Wednesday morning.According to Heavener Assistant Chief of PoliceLester English, three people entered the Selecito MarketWednesday at approximately 9:45 a.m. wearing facemasks, brandishing handguns and demanding moneyfrom the clerk. The men then fled the scene with anundisclosed amount of cash.The store had a functioning surveillance systemwhich recorded the robbery and police have sincereviewed the footage in attempts to identify the suspects.According to the video footage, two of the suspectswore face masks obscuring their features while the thirdwore what was described as a dark stocking. Policebelieve the three suspects are possibly Caucasian afterthe clerk described them as speaking fluent englishwithout an accent.Two of the suspects are approximately 5’8” and havea thin build while the third suspect is taller and heavier.All three are believed to be male.It is unknown at this time if the three suspects used avehicle in the commission of the robbery or if they fledthe scene on foot.
