Talihina avenges last year's state quarterfinal loss to Cashion; Golden Tigers will meet No. 1 Ringling Blue Devils next week in Class A state semifinals

November 30, 2013

CASHION — Revenge is sweet, even if it took a year to get it. Just ask the Talihina Golden Tigers football team.
After losing last year to the Cashion Wildcats 43-24 in the Class A state quarterfinals at Doc Robinson Stadium, the same two teams met a year later in the same spot of the postseason. This time, the Golden Tigers visited the ’Cats and returned the favor by posting a 22-20 victory Friday night.
The Golden Tigers (13-0) will face No. 1 Ringling in the Class A state semifinals next week — with one more win putting them into the state title game the weekend after that. The Blue Devils routed the Morrison Wildcats 48-8 on Friday night.
