Talihina Bash continues to be a success

August 13, 2013

The Talihina Chamber of Commerce hosted the sixth annual Back-to-School Bash Family Fun Time on Friday.
"The fun started a little late because just about time for it to start the rain came down," said Chamber Manager Vera Nelson.
Even though it started off a little damp the kids had a great time  bouncing on the inflatables, swimming in the swimming pool, receiving school supply goody bags and food and cold Drinks.
Donations from businesses helped keep the cost down making this event possible for the children to enjoy, Nelson said.
Moms, dads, grandparents and great-grandparents accompanied their children and enjoyed watching and joining them as they had a good time.
Sancie Bandy, chairperson for the event, said, “Without the town's support, all donations and the volunteers, the chamber cannot pull this event off."
