TULSA — Thursday night closed a chapter in life which was dear to both Talihina Golden Tiger basketball players Taggart Lockhart and Jordan EagleRoad. The local duo played together in their final high school basketball game, so to speak.
Lockhart and EagleRoad played for the Small East in Thursday night's Oklahoma Coaches Association Small School All-State Basketball Game at the Oral Roberts University Mabee Center.
“We got to play together for our last time,” Lockhart said. “It was very special. We've grown up playing with each other. We always had our little duo. It was great to play this last game with him.”
But while there was fun out there, it also was sadly emotional for EagleRoad.
“It sucked (to be the last game together) because I've played with him since the eighth grade,” he said.
