Talihina boys making state was nice way to cap season

Well, it's hard to believe that the 2012-13 high school basketball season has come to an end, but it at least ended on a high note.
It was good to see the Talihina Golden Tigers return to state after a season off. Prior to 2012, the Tigers made state four straight seasons — winning the gold ball in 2011.
It just seemed that third time wasn't the charm for Talihina. The Golden Tigers upset Oktaha to win the regional title, then six nights later did likewise against Preston to win the area tournament and make state.
However, Thursday afternoon the fifth-ranked Latta Panthers stood in the way of the Talihina boys making Friday night's Class 2A State Tournament semifinals. While the Golden Tigers kept hanging around, the Panthers were always able to keep them at bay.
College Signings
Area coaches, this little segment is for you. If you are going to have any players signing college letters of intent to play college basketball, I can present for the big occasion.
If I'm notified at least a day, preferably two or more days, before the signing takes place of where and when, there will be good chance I can be there to talk to our lucky athlete(s) and coaches about the big occasion.
