Talihina hoping for perfect regular season in road game tonight against Gore Pirates

November 8, 2013

Last week, the Talihina Golden Tigers routed the Savanna Bulldogs 43-6 to claim the top seed from District A-6.
“We played for the district championship and an undefeated season,” Talihina coach Kelly Gravitt said. “It was the best the Golden Tigers have played since I've been here. We were sharp, and were ready in all aspects of the game. The kids were on cue.”'
So, one might think when the Golden Tigers (9-0 overall, 5-0 in district play) travels to face the Gore Pirates (2-7, 2-3) at 7:30 tonight that there might not be a lot on the line for Talihina. Think again.
“We're going to take care of business,” Gravitt said. “It's been two years since we've gone undefeated [in the regular season], and it's been two years since we were undefeated district champs.”
