Talihina makes state quarterfinals again with win over Hominy; Golden Tigers will play winner of today's Cashion-Okeene game next week

November 23, 2013

TALIHINA — The Talihina Golden Tigers won their Class A second-round playoff game with a 46-26 win over the Hominy Bucks on Friday night at Doc Robinson Stadium.
The Golden Tigers (12-0) will have to wait until today to find out their Class A quarterfinal opponent. They will play the winner of today's Cashion-Okeene game, which was postponed Friday night due to inclement weather in Okeene — located about 45 miles southwest of Enid.
The winner of the Cashion-Okeene game will entertain the Golden Tigers. If Cashion wins, it will be a rematch of last year's Class A state quarterfinal, which was won by the Wildcats 43-24 at “The Pit.”
