Talihina man injured in accident

A Talihina man was flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital after a two-car accident Friday.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Daniel Holland, 63, was driving a 2003 Ford pickup south on County Road 1130 south of Talihina at about 1:30 p.m. when the accident occurred.
Trooper Ryan Williams reported Jordan Barnes, 18, of Talihina was driving a 2001 Chevrolet east on a county road when he failed to stop for a stop sign, colliding with the side of Holland's pickup.
Holland was taken by LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services to Choctaw Nation Health Care Center in Talihina then was later flown by medical helicopter to St. Francis hospital in Tulsa. According to the accident report, Holland was listed in stable condition with a neck injury.
Barnes and his passenger, Rodney Killingsworth, 16, of Talihina were both treated for injuries at CNHCC then released, according to the report.
