Talihina in must-win mode from here out, beginning tonight against Hartshorne

October 28, 2011

After losing their third straight District 2A-6 game last week to Wilburton, the Talihina Golden Tigers have their backs against the den now.
The Golden Tigers (5-3, 1-3 in district play) pretty much need to win out to guarantee a return to the Class 2A playoffs, beginning at 7:30 p.m. tonight in their home finale against the Hartshorne Miners (6-2, 3-1) at Doc Robinson Stadium.
“We're one day at a time,” Talihina Coach Kelly Gravitt said. “'When we get to Friday nights, it's one game at a time. We've come in and had some pretty good practices. Our youth finally caught up with us. They (the opposition) are just starting to come at our younger kids. We've just had some cricitial mistakes the last few weeks. We're backed against the wall. We're going to bow our necks out and come out fighting.”
