Talihina not overlooking Haileyville on Friday night

October 24, 2013

Some would call Friday night's District A-6 road game against the Haileyville Warriors for the Talihina Golden Tigers a trap game, since the big district showdown takes place the following week at home against the Savanna Bulldogs. However, the Golden Tigers (7-0 overall, 3-0 in district play) are thinking anything but that about the winless Warriors (0-7, 0-3).
“We take care of that in practice,” Talihina coach Kelly Gravitt said. “We know they're not a good team, but that's who we've got to play. We just go take care of business, and stay healthy [for the Savanna game]. We want to give our No. 2s as many reps as we can because the time may be coming when they won't be getting as many.”
