Talihina not overlooking Haileyville on Friday night

Some would call Friday night's District A-6 road game against the Haileyville Warriors for the Talihina Golden Tigers a trap game, since the big district showdown takes place the following week at home against the Savanna Bulldogs. However, the Golden Tigers (7-0 overall, 3-0 in district play) are thinking anything but that about the winless Warriors (0-7, 0-3).“We take care of that in practice,” Talihina coach Kelly Gravitt said. “We know they're not a good team, but that's who we've got to play. We just go take care of business, and stay healthy [for the Savanna game]. We want to give our No. 2s as many reps as we can because the time may be coming when they won't be getting as many.”• • •To Get There — Take Oklahoma State Highway 1 west to Haileyville.• • •District A-6 StandingsTeam District Overall +/-Talihina 3-0 7-0 +45Savanna 3-0 6-1 +45Sallisaw-Central 3-1 4-3 +30Quinton 1-2 3-4 -29Canadian 1-3 2-4 -21Gore 1-3 1-6 -25Haileyville 0-3 0-7 -45
