TALIHINA — Two seasons ago, the Talihina Golden Tigers were one of the favorites to win the Class 2A state title on the gridiron, but that playoff run was abruptly halted by a heartbreaking loss to Colcord in the second round of the playoffs at Doc Robinson Stadium.
Last year, a five-game losing streak to end the season kept the Golden Tigers from being a playoff team.
Now, after a drop back into Class A and opening the season 8-0, the Golden Tigers find themselves back into the postseason parade.
After missing out on the playoffs last year, the Golden Tigers are happy that there's at least a Week 11 game, which is their playoff opener at 7:30 tonight against the Wewoka Tigers at Doc Robinson Stadium.
