February 23, 2013

TALIHINA — It was a happy Thursday night of hoops for the Talihina High School teams on their own floor — Chris Gillespie Court at Ray Henson Gymnasium.
The Golden Tigers outlasted the Wewoka Tigers 53-51 in overtime in Thursday night's Class 2A Regional Tournament semifinals, while the Lady Golden Tigers defeated the Savanna Lady Bulldogs 52-40.
Both the Golden Tigers (17-11) and the Lady Golden Tigers (18-7) will play Oktaha here tonight in the regional finals, with the girls game at 6:30 p.m. and the boys contest at 8 p.m. Both teams in each game will automatically qualify for next week's Class 2A Area Tournament at the Wilburton High School gym.
